Employment Law

Are you up to date with the recent changes in employment law that commenced on 1 October 2015?

There are now two general bodies:

Initial complaints are made to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) who review the complaint and ascertain if the matter can be resolved by mediation; and

Appeals against decisions of the WRC can be made to the Labour Court.

The time periods to make a complaint under the various pieces of legislation have been streamlined.

  • Are you an Employer?
  • Are  you an Employee?

There is a single form to be completed that can cover a multiple of complaints when making a complaint against your employer to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC).

A very useful resource is the website of the WRC

“I have had the pleasure of working with Michelle in both her legal business through my managerial role and her business training company in my own start up. Michelle is extremely knowledgeable in the legal industry and can always be depended upon to deliver a project on time and with ease.

Michelle advised us in the area of employment legalities and delivered a timely and accurate project with complete transparency throughout. In terms of training it was extremely beneficial to be able to have access to Michelle’s extensive business knowledge delivered through an online platform at a time that suited me to learn. I cannot recommend Michelle’s Business SOS training highly enough as she makes complicated start up issues seem very simple with her delivery of communication and beautiful personality. Michelle gets things done and whilst doing so motivates you towards better practices. Not only will you receive a professional service from all of Michelle’s offerings you will learn a lot while you work with her. I highly recommend booking a business consultation!”
