Over 50,000 reminder letters have been sent by Revenue to property owners who are in employment or have an occupational pension and have not met their Local Property Tax obligations.

If a person receives a reminder letter, they have 7 days from the date of the letter to comply and to prevent Revenue issuing instructions to their employer or pension provider to deduct the LPT estimate.

If a person has already filed a return or is not the owner of the property for which it has received the reminder letter they must contact Revenue. For more information see the revenue website http://www.revenue.ie/
