It is always good to remember  when shopping that;


– Every €10 spent locally on Irish products generates €24 of benefit to the local community, and

– 45 cent of every Euro spent is reinvested locally in comparison to only 15 cent for the foreign multi-national companies.

Have you heard that Christmas sales can account for up to two-thirds of a small retailer's annual turnover?

A bad Christmas can put the retailer out of business?

This is not just devastating for the small business owner. It hurts the entire local economy.

Local business owners often give back to the local community, volunteering their time or donating their products to local charities or sporting and community events.

By supporting other local businesses, they build social networks that can sustain entire communities.

Local business owners are also often involved in decision-making that benefits the entire town.

So while money might be tight this year, as it has been for several years now, why not BUY IRISH and local where and when you can and help to make a real difference to your town and your community, helping to retain local jobs and local business.
